DesignerGiving Delivery Policy
Designer Giving is an online marketplace connecting buyers and sellers of designer and luxury items. Unless otherwise stated in a listing, items sold through the platform are shipped directly by the seller.
1. Seller Dispatch Requirements
1.1 Sellers are responsible for arranging shipment of sold items directly to buyers.
1.2 All items must be sent using a tracked delivery service.
1.3 Sellers must obtain appropriate insurance cover for the full value of the parcel during transit.
1.4 Sellers must dispatch sold items within 7 days of purchase unless a shorter dispatch timeframe is stated within the item listing.
1.5 Buyers will normally receive dispatch confirmation once the item has been shipped.
2. Delivery Responsibility & Risk
2.1 Risk in the item remains with the seller until the item has been delivered to the buyer. If an item is lost, damaged or delayed during transit, the seller is responsible for resolving the issue with the delivery provider and, where appropriate, refunding the buyer.
2.2 Designer Giving is not responsible for delivery delays caused by couriers, customs processes, weather conditions or events outside reasonable control.
3. Delivery Costs
Delivery charges are displayed at checkout before payment is completed. Some sellers may offer free delivery promotions which will be clearly stated in the item listing. Express or upgraded delivery services may be available depending on the seller and courier options selected.
4. Non-Delivery
4.1 If a buyer has not received their item within 14 days of receiving dispatch confirmation, the buyer should contact the seller through the platform within 7 days of the expected delivery date.
4.2 Where an item is confirmed as lost or undelivered, the seller may be required to issue a refund to the buyer.
4.3 If a refunded item is subsequently delivered, the buyer must contact the seller to arrange return of the item.
5. Incorrect Delivery Information
5.1 Buyers are responsible for ensuring delivery information provided at checkout is accurate and complete.
5.2 Designer Giving and private sellers are not responsible for failed deliveries or delays caused by incorrect delivery information supplied by the buyer.
6. Returns Delivery
6.1 Where a return is agreed or legally required, buyers must return items using a tracked delivery service and retain proof of postage.
6.2 Buyers should arrange appropriate insurance cover during return transit.
6.3 Unless the item is faulty, counterfeit or significantly not as described, return postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
6.4 Items purchased from private sellers are not eligible for returns due solely to change of mind unless the seller agrees otherwise.
7. Business Seller Orders
7.1 Where an item is sold directly by Designer Giving or another business seller, buyers may have additional rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and Consumer Rights Act 2015.
7.2 Where a cancellation right applies, standard outbound delivery charges will also be refunded. Enhanced or express delivery upgrades are non-refundable unless legally required.
