Lucy Chatting Honoured with Invitation to The King’s Garden Party

Our CEO of DesignerGiving, was honoured to be invited to this year's King's Garden Party.

The invitation is in recognition of more than a decade of dedicated fundraising and support for Birmingham Children's Hospital. For the past 10 years, Lucy has played an active role in raising vital funds to support the incredible work carried out by Birmingham Children’s Hospital, helping children and families facing some of life’s greatest challenges. The invitation to attend the royal event was a meaningful recognition of this long-standing commitment to charitable fundraising and community support. Reflecting on the occasion, Lucy described it as a genuine privilege to attend and a moment of reflection on the collective efforts behind the fundraising work over the years. Whilst the invitation was extended to Lucy personally, she was keen to acknowledge the many people who have contributed to the success of the fundraising efforts, recognising that meaningful impact is always a team effort.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the royal gardens, the day proved to be both memorable and inspiring. Lucy had the opportunity to meet a number of fascinating guests from across the UK, all recognised for their contributions to charities, communities and public life, and was also delighted to have the opportunity to greet The King.

The invitation also marks an important milestone in Lucy’s wider charitable journey. Through DesignerGiving, she is continuing her passion for fundraising in a new and innovative way. DesignerGiving is a luxury resale platform with a charitable purpose, encouraging sellers to donate a percentage of each sale to children’s charities — combining fashion with compassion and helping to create ongoing impact through everyday giving.

For Lucy, the day served as a reminder of what can be achieved through shared purpose, generosity and the commitment of a dedicated team working together to make a difference.
