100 Amazon Vouchers for BCH newly diagnosed children

In February, Team Carter the Brave delivered another 100 Amazon Vouchers to Young Lives Versus Cancer.

Carter the Brave provides Amazon Vouchers to newly diagnosed children at BCH, via the Charity Young Lives Versus Cancer, bringing a welcome distraction for them & their parents. To date, we have funded over 1500 vouchers & the heartfelt thank you messages receieved by Lucy, our CEO of DesignerGiving, showcase the positive impact this support has on families during this difficult time. 

Lisa Green of YLVC said, 'As a Young Lives vs Cancer social worker, we often meet children, young people and the families at the start of their treatment, when everything seems overwhelming and scary.  The Carter the Brave vouchers are so special because it feels like we are passing over a gift from one child, who has been where they are, to another.  That in the scariness, there is a friend out there, understanding and trying to lighten their world a little.  Carter the Brave vouchers mean that there is some money ring fenced just for the child, to spend on something that will cheer them in the uncertainty.'
